Getting started

Open a sample from the Library tab, add a toolpath from the Toolpaths tab, check the 3D Preview, then Save G-code or send the job from Laser Control or CNC Control.

Which machines work?

GRBL 1.1 routers and diode lasers over USB-C (Mac and iPad) or USB (Windows and Linux), over Wi-Fi through a Raspberry Pi running Makivo Laser Server, and the Next Wave Shark (HD520 and Piranha controllers).

Start with the iPad or Mac app. The Mac, Windows, and Linux editions are on the download page. The iPad app is coming to the App Store.

Licence and devices

One purchase covers 3 devices on any platform, held by your account. Remove an old device from the account sheet inside Makivo to free a seat. A device keeps working offline for up to 30 days between licence check-ins.

Refunds

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com. Direct purchases: email us within 14 days.

Report a problem

Include the app version from About (use Copy version), your machine and controller, and the project file if you can.

Safety

CNC routers and lasers can injure people and damage property. Check every toolpath, preview, and G-code file before running it, follow your machine maker's safety instructions, and watch the machine while it runs. Feeds, speeds, and bit data in Makivo's libraries are starting points, not guarantees.
